Greatswords in Godfall is one of the five weapon categories in the game. The Greatsword is a two-handed weapon that focuses on heavy slash attacks, wielding this weapon allows the player to unleash slow but devastating attacks and at the same time to use the weapon as a shield to protect themselves from incoming enemy attacks. Greatswords are obtained as rewards from completing quests, purchased from merchants, looted from various locations, dropped by enemies, and bosses, or crafted by using the required materials.
Greatswords Information
Like the Warhammers, the Valorian Greatswords require the incredible strength granted by Valorplate to properly wield. Greatswords exist to give knights the striking power of the hammer, but the precision of a Longsword. Depending on the weapon, these swords are just as capable of smashing as they are for cutting.
Greatswords Weapon Techniques
Greatswords have a charge bar that fills whenever you hit or are hit by Enemies. You can perform your Weapon Techniques after the first segment of the charge bar is filled. Activating a Weapon Technique will consume the entire charge bar. Each additional segment consumed increases the damage dealt by the technique.
- Northern Technique - Whirlwind: Launch yourself forward and spin your Greatsword to attack nearby Enemies multiple times.
- Southern Technique - Great Throw: Throw your Greatsword to deal damage to Enemies in its path. A well-timed throw may also hit Enemies as the Greatsword returns to you.
