Augments in Godfall are a trinket that can be inserted into the Valorplate's Constellation granting a bonus to one of the three main Stats. Besides that, like all types of equipment in Godfall, Augments are also classified in a rarity system ranging from Common to Legendary, which in turn, grants more secondary effects (Up to three) the rarer the Augment.
Augment Constellations
Power Drain
Augments have a power drain rating, that is also tied to their rarity. Meaning Rarer Augments drain more power from the Valorplate's Power capacity than more common ones. Valorplates will have a Power Capacity that increases as you level up. More powerful Augments will have a higher power drain. This forces players to balance which augments to arrange into their constellations.
The Total Power usage and capacity will be shown on the bottom od your Augment screen.

Augment Constellation Nodes
Colors
Augments have a color that has to match the one on the Augment Node in order to be used. Each color represents the Attributes and Stats that they increase. The only Augment Nodes that allow Augments of any color are the White ones. The other three colors have to match the color of the Augment in order to be fitted in.
Each Valorplate has a unique Augment Constellation. Augment Constellations are made up of 10 nodes. Nodes will be either red, green, blue, or white.

These Valorplate constellations have a est number of color nodes and their power capacity below. Players and experiment with different Augment builds to best suit their playstyle, but must fit the set nodes in place and not go over their power capacity. Below is the Aegishorn Constellation map.

Similarly, the Mesa has the same number of nodes, with a different set of colors available for placing Augments. If players have a preference for increasing their Might and having more Might augments, they may choose the Mesa Valorplates since it has 3 red slots available plus 3 white available to slot in any color.
